New features in SysAid 9.1

New UI

Do more with fewer clicks and use a clean and organized UI to perform daily tasks! Based on feedback from SysAiders and advanced usability testing, we created a seamless UI that gives you the most logical workflows and everything you need in one place. Watch an overview of the new SysAid 9.1 UI here. Excited? Well, this is just Phase 1 of the new UI redesign! Here are some highlights:

  • SysAid Menu redesign: groups main features and functions into four menu categories
  • New Announcements list
  • Limit which menu items are visible to which administrator based on admin group
  • Administrators can now add a personal photo to their User Porfile
  • The Sobre page shows more relevant information
  • Choose between a dark and light color theme
  • Centralized Settings section that contains all the main settings for SysAid

SysAid RDS

SysAid RDS now supports all agent management, monitoring, and other functions that are normally handled by SysAid Server. This allows Cloud customers to take advantage of all of SysAid’s Asset Management and Monitoring capabilities. SysAid RDS now optimizes network traffic between deployed agents and the SysAid Server. Furthermore, integration between the SysAid Server and an LDAP server can pass through SysAid RDS. The SysAid Agent has been redesigned and rebuilt to use .Net technology.

Available in Cloud Edition since 9.0.90

Dynamic Forms

SysAid allows you to create different forms to match different types of service requests. You can associate each service category with a matching for, which is loaded automatically during service request submission. Admins and end users can also select the desired form from a list.

Available in Cloud Edition since 9.0.70

Additional features

  • You no longer have to re-enter your credentials the next time you log in if you tick “Remember Me” on the SysAid Login page.
  • SysAid now takes a screenshot of multiple monitors when submitting a service record using the F11 hot key.
  • Allow uploading images, logos and HTML customizations in SysAid Cloud Edition.
  • New RDS tab contains a list of all RDS nodes on your network and allows you to manage them.

New features in SysAid 9.1.1 (Cloud Edition)

  • End users have the option to reopen closed service records via the End User Portal or a link in the email notification
  • Email Parsing: Setup business rules on incoming emails - Parse the subject / body / sender of incoming emails and set field values in the service records based on rules you setup
  • Control what status to set for closed service records that receive e-mail responses from users to prevent tickets from reopening

  • The Linux patch will only work if the application is hosted on the root of tomcat or on /sysaid (it will not run well on any other directory name).
  • SysAid Release 7.5 or higher is needed in order to upgrade to SysAid 9.
  • To start using SysAid MDM capabilities, you must be running Tomcat 7 or above.
  • The 64 bit Windows upgrade can only be used if your initial SysAid installation was 64 bit. If you are not sure, you can try installing the 64 bit upgrade, and you will be prompted if it is incorrect. In that case, simply install the 32 bit upgrade.
  • SysAid Release 9.0 and higher for Linux/Unix/Mac requires SUN Java 1.7 or higher and Tomcat 7 to be installed on the SysAid server.
